An overview of EU Artificial Intelligence Act and the basics of risk category classification for Japanese manufacturers

The European Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act is the world's first comprehensive AI regulation, applying to AI systems placed on the EU market, including entities established outside the EU. 

Even Japanese manufacturers must comply with the EU AI Act if they provide AI-powered products or services for the EU market.

This seminar will provide a clear overview of the EU AI Act, focusing particularly on the four-level risk classification of AI systems. You will gain a deeper understanding of fundamental aspects such as: 

"Which risk category does our company's AI likely classified into?" and
"What level of mandatory compliance is required?"

Key points you will gain from this seminar:
• The basic structure, implementation schedule, and overall penalties of the EU AI Act.
• The concept and explanation of risk categories in AI systems.
• The Digital Omnibus Proposal.
• The key provisions regarding high-risk AI.
