Requirements

Technical

PC, notebook or laptop with camera, speakers and microphone.
Microsoft Teams in browser or app (possible with or without Microsoft account). You will receive the link to the Teams-meeting from us.
No MS Teams background may be used during the exam.
The camera and microphone must remain on during the exam.
Mobile devices are not allowed (smartphones and tablets).
Stable internet connection
We recommend the following browsers: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, Opera or Safari.

Space and identification

Examinees must have a government-issued photo ID available. No pictures or recordings of it will be taken. You will be asked by the examiner to show your photo ID to the camera for a clear identification by turning, flipping and side views.
The testing environment shall be a locked, private room or office.
No other persons shall be in the room.
No other materials near the PC/laptop unless permitted aids.
No texts on walls or desk
Quiet environment and no music, television, or other noise sources
No other computers or devices turned on in the room
The room must be sufficiently lit (in the same way as daylight).
No transcripts of exam content may be made or shared (electronically and/or manually).

The participant is obliged to fulfil the requirements completely. Failure to meet or disrupt the requirement may result in a finding of attempted deception, cheating, or disqualification from the exam. If you are unable to meet the requirements, please talk to your contact person before the exam to find a solution.

Exam Login with access data or with registration link

You will receive either access data (codes) or a registration link from us.

E-mail with access data:
You log in with an event code and an individual access code. Your examiner will explain the login to you shortly before the exam

Registration link:
You will receive with all needed information from your examiner.

Starting the exam

Once you have logged in, you can read the introduction for the exam.
The exam time will start once you click on "Start exam".
It is not possible to pause the exam and continue at a later point in time.
Once you have started the exam, you will see the remaining time to complete it at the top left of your screen.

Incomplete questions

Questions which you have not yet answered are marked white in the list.

Completed questions

Once you have answered a question and clicked "Save and next", this question is marked green in the list. You can still continue to work on these questions (see "Working on questions").

Flagged questions

You can collect questions you do not want to work on right away or on which you want to continue working later on a flagged list. These questions are marked orange in the list. Completed questions that are still on the flagged list are counted when you finish the exam. You can remove questions from the reminder list by clicking on "Remove flagged question".

Working on questions

You can work on any exam question at any time so long as the exam has not finished.

Finishing the exam

A confirmation prompt appears when you click "Finish the exam". This prompt asks you to confirm whether you really want to finish the exam. The prompt also points out any incomplete questions or questions on the flagged list.
The exam is finished automatically when the exam time runs out.
You will see your result straight away.

My login failed.

Please check the login details you were provided. Is it possible that you did not enter the login details correctly? The event code (four characters) is entered in the top field and your access code (five characters) is entered in the bottom field. Please contact the support contact listed in the invitation or your contact person if you cannot solve the problem yourself.

The following message appears: "Attention! You are using the Internet Explorer Compatibility View. Please activate the regular view."

Please proceed as follows:

Click on the gearwheel symbol ("Tools") on the right in the topmost bar.
Select "Compatibility View settings".
Please remove all ticks in the small window, then click "Close" and reload the page.

Alternatively, you can use a different browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Safari).
The browser can be closed or switched during the exam if you have logged in using the codes described above. Your progress is stored on the server in real time and therefore always saved.

I am logged in, but all I can see at the top left is the current time.

Please close the browser completely and then open it again. Then enter the link and your login details again. Alternatively, you can use a different browser.

The message "Exam finished!" appears, even though the exam is not yet finished.

Please check the exam time and date in the invitation. Is it possible that you are too early or too late? Please contact the support contact listed in the invitation or your contact person if you cannot solve the problem yourself.

My result does not appear after I finish the exam.

First, please check whether you used the correct link for the online exam. If you did, please contact the support contact listed in the invitation or your contact person.

I did not receive an access code by e-mail.

Please check your spam folder. The e-mail containing the login details is sent by TUV SUD Exam <[email protected]>. Please get in touch with your contact person.

I receive a firewall or "blocked" message in my browser and cannot log in.

Are you completing the exam from a company network? If this is the case, please ask your IT department to enable the link to the online exam.
If you are using a private PC or laptop, you need to enable the link in the firewall or switch to a different device on which the message does not appear. There is nothing we can do if a firewall is blocking the link. Please check that the link is working before you start the exam.

I did not pass the exam. What can I do?

Please get in touch with your contact person to arrange a date to retake the exam.

I could not download the certificate after passing the exam. What can I do?

We will send you the certificate in the next few days.
