Women @ TÜV SÜD
We are convinced that the diversity of mindsets, experiences and perspectives will ensure our long-term business success. For us, this includes promoting female talent in order to bring more women into leadership and expert positions.
The Womens Network is a grassroots initative to promote the advancment of female employees within TÜV SÜD. Initiated by a group of women passionate about empowering other women in the organisation and supported by several local ambassadors, the Network offers Women and Men throughout the organisation a variety of initiatives, including:
- Provision of in-house and external mentoring and coaching: Mentoring and coaching is cited by women as being one of the most instrumental ways that have helped them build their career. The Women's Network grassroots mentoring program has already supported more than 25+ women via C-suite championing and mentoring and has an annual intake of 20 new mentees.
- Career focussed social networking: Virtual and face to face information and networking exchange platforms as a network both inside and outside the organisation is an important step in building and shaping your career. Its not just about what you know but who you know.
- Internal and external training for topics particularly relevant for Women
- Tie-ups with likeminded external womens networks such as Global Digital Women (https://global-digital-women.com/)
The Womens Network has grown from strength to strength and meanwhile has over 600 members worldwide. Its sometimes hard to visualise the potential career options in such a large organisation such as TÜV SÜD. The Womens Network has made that task easier by showcasing role model women in various positions across many different geographies, packed full of helpful hints on how to navigate your path from those who have already trodden it.
Empower all women @ TÜV SÜD with the aim to:
- Make TÜV SÜD a better workplace (especially for talented, motivated women)
- Improve leadership and ways of working within all hierarchies by enabling more female decision makers / a more balanced gender distribution of decision makers
- Boost the employer branding to attract more women to join TÜV SÜD
