NRTL certification

TÜV SÜD is a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) accredited partner. A NRTL is an independent organisation that certifies products for the U.S. market. NRTLs are recognised by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under Federal Code 29 CFR 1910.7 for products to be used in United States (U.S.) workplaces.

The NRTL certificate provides clear evidence that your electrical and electronic products comply with the required standards of the U.S. market. NRTL certification provides assurance that your products meet the safety requirements to enter the U.S., enabling you to quickly reach hundreds of millions of consumers.

Without certification from a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory, many retailers will refuse to stock a product. If you cannot provide evidence that you have carried out relevant tests yourself, you may receive a fine from the authorities.

1. Factory inspection and initial manufacturing quality programme assessment by our independent experts.
2. Product and safety testing.
3. Review of the safety testing report by a technical certifier.
4. Issuance of certificate, if the product has passed all relevant tests.
5. Regular factory surveillance visits to maintain certificate credibility.
