WHAT FACILITIES DO TÜV SÜD OFFER FOR SINGLE-PHASE METER TESTING AND CALIBRATION? 

Oil Flow Testing Facility

TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory’s oil flow test facility has two separate oil flow lines, that cover a wide range of flow rates and can accommodate a selection of different oils. Combining these oils with a unique temperature control system allows independent variation of test temperature and viscosity. Test sections can be constructed to offer long straight lengths upstream and downstream or, if necessary, specific configurations designed to replicate actual installations.

Water Flow Testing Facility

TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory’s Water Flow Testing Facility has four separate flow lines, covering a wide range of flowrates in multiple line sizes. The test sections can be constructed to offer long straight lengths upstream or, if necessary, specific configurations designed to replicate actual installations.

The facility allows manufacturers and water utility companies to assess a wide variety of instruments and flow meters such as mag, ultrasonic and coriolis meters.

Densitometer Calibration Facility

TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory manages the only Densitometer Calibration Facility in the UK that allows densitometers to be calibrated at their anticipated operating conditions. This allows companies to follow the guidance of the UK regulator, the Oil & Gas Authority (OGA).

The recently upgraded densitometer calibration facility can calibrate a comprehensive range of meters including Micro Motion 7835 Series Density Meters, Micro Motion CDM100 meters and Sarasota Liquid Density Meters (910 series). The facility also allows us to test densitometers used with fluids with very low densities, for example units that operate on condensate wells.

Elevated Pressure & Temperature Oil Calibration Facility

TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory’s high pressure and temperature single phase calibration loop is a unique, purpose-built flow meter calibration and evaluation facility. It allows customers to test equipment at close to field conditions and replicate the effect of high pressure and temperature on instrument performance.

The facility has two separate flow lines, covering a wide range of flowrates in different line sizes. The test sections can be constructed to offer long straight lengths upstream or, if necessary, specific configurations designed to replicate actual installations.
