France: Notice of the application of articles R. 322-19 to R. 322-26 of the sports code on football, handball, field and indoor hockey and basketball goals

MARCH 2022 - HARDLINES

On 5 March 2022, the Official Journal of the French Republic published a notice (NOR: ECOC2124966V)¹ on the application of articles R. 322-19 to R. 322-26 of the sports code on football, handball, field and indoor hockey and basketball goals. This notice updates the references of standards that can be used in the application of articles R. 322-19 to R. 322-26 of the sports code. The summary of the standards is in the table as follows;

Products conforming to standards whose references have been published in the Official Journal of the French Republic by the notice of 18 May 2016 may be placed on the market for a period of one year from the publication of this notice and marketed while stocks last.

The standards adopted by the national standardization institutes of the Member States of the European Union and the States Parties to the Agreement establishing the European Economic Area or of Turkey, transposing the corresponding European standards, are recognized as equivalent.

This notice cancels and replaces the notice published in the Official Journal of the French Republic of 18 May 2016 (NOR: VJSV1612278V)⁴, relating to the application of Decree No. 96-495 of 4 June 1996 setting the security requirements to football, handball, field and indoor hockey and basketball goals.
