EU: REACH two substances were added to SVHC candidate list

JUNE 2023 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS, HARDLINES, SOFTLINES, TOYS AND CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS

On 14 June 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the 29th update of the REACH Candidate List¹. Two (2) new Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) were added. Hence, the total number of SVHCs on the Candidate List increases from 233 to 235².

From February to April 2023, ECHA launched a public consultation and proposed two substances to be identified as SVHC. Now both proposed substances are identified and included in REACH Candidate List.

Table A lists the new SVHC included in the 29th update of the Candidate List.
