China: CCC scope change and implementation methods

On June 11, 2018, China State Administration for Market Regulation and CNCA published an important announcement about big change of CCC approval scope and implementation method, detailed as below:

From the date of this announcement, products listed in Annex 1 are no longer in the scope of CCC certification, and the designated certification authority needs to cancel the issued CCC certificates. CNCA will cancel the designated accredited CCC product scope and related service of certification bodies and laboratories.

From October 1, 2018, a number of products listed in Annex 2 have been added in the scope of self-declaration evaluation scheme. The relevant manufacturer may either have products certified by the designated certification body in the existing methods or use self-declaration to prove the product compliance to the mandatory according to the rules for the implementation of the mandatory product certification self-declaration. The product compliance information delivery shall be completed after self-declaration.
