CHINA: Compulsory certification of electronic equipment and safety accessories, implementation rules cnca-09-21, 2023

On 30 June 2023, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) published the rule for the compulsory product certification of electronic products and safety accessories.
The applicable products and standards are listed below:

Certification mode:
- Type I and II equipment: type testing and post-certification supervision are required. The post-certification supervision means either follow-up inspections, or sample pick-up at the production site or market sampling.
- Equipment out of type I and II scope:type testing and post-certification follow-up inspection are required.
The equipment should attach the certification mark in a conspicuous manner. Due to lithium-ion batteries size limit, it is allowed to print/mould the "CCC" in the suitable size based on the external dimensions of the batteries. Product certificate covered by the rule is valid for 5 years.
The rules enter into force on 1 August 2023.
