SEC (Superintendence of Electricity and Combustible Fuels) is the government authority regulating electrical and gas appliances in the mandatory national certification scheme that covers both safety and energy efficiency. All products in the scope are required to get SEC approval before market commercialization. There are several modes of certification.
SEC type approval - No expiry date unless there are changes to the products
SEC EE Certificate - 1 year validity
