achieve compliance with consumer product safety standards

Product safety testing is the process of testing, inspecting, and certifying products to achieve compliance with consumer product safety standards. Certification in the form of a written or electronic certificate demonstrates that applicable requirements have been met by the certifying body.

Stronger safety requirements have been vital in helping reduce injuries and deaths tied to consumer products over the years.

Products that fail to meet applicable requirements can create substantial risks to both consumers and businesses. Consumers, especially children, may be exposed to unreasonable hazards or dangers, and in turn, businesses could be subject to penalties and lawsuits. A rigorous testing program performed by an accredited product safety testing lab can therefore help mitigate these risks.
