Canada Special Inspections - CSA SPE-1000 & CSA SPE-3000

There are many scenarios where it may not have been possible to conduct the normal certification process. In Canada, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) allow for a field evaluation, where a certification expert can assess your product in the field. Conformance to the relevant inspection and field labeling requirements is a prerequisite for local authorities in granting permission for your equipment to be placed into service.

The TÜV SÜD special inspection label is widely recognized by AHJs, resulting in assured and expedited acceptance of the equipment. Special Inspections must be performed by an Inspection Body approved by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). TÜV SÜD is approved by the SCC.

TÜV SÜD provides field evaluation and field label services for the electrical safety of machinery, semiconductor equipment, energy storage systems, medical devices, as well as most other types of equipment in most jurisdictions throughout Canada. Our expert engineers will provide on-site evaluation of your equipment, covering areas such as component and construction evaluation as well as basic safety testing to required standards.
