Testing audio, visual and IT equipment involves putting the product through a series of rigorous tests to ascertain reliability, as well as discover faults and any potential health hazards that could arise from using the product. An audio-visual test of electronic equipment satisfies regulators, retailers and consumers that your product is safe for use and is compliant with national and international health and safety standards.
Testing and certification of audio, visual and IT equipment is required for access to most important global markets. Nearly all jurisdictions require product testing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrical safety. Many also require testing to determine the presence of harmful chemicals or other substances, or to assess a product’s energy usage. In addition to mandatory testing, some products may also be subject to performance testing to verify image or audio quality, and major retail customers may require additional product testing and supply chain assessments as part of their product procurement process.
