Preparing for a Field Evaluation

Often left until late in the process, a field inspection or field evaluation, or even at times a UL Field Evaluation, may be critical for acceptance of equipment or products that are not already NRTL (or SCC) approved (or listed). This approval may not be readily available if the product is a large machine, a one-off creation, an item made at a very low production volume or a variation of an approved product.

Being prepared for a field inspection can help promote smooth sailing, helping prevent delays in acceptance due to failures and minimizing the need for repeat inspections.
