The functional core of modern machinery is made up of a complex combination of wiring, motors, switches, circuit breakers, power supplies and transformers. U.S expertise: Installing electrical equipment in the United States can be complicated. Each region (State, County, Municipality) has the freedom to introduce its own safety standards, meaning there could be numerous electrical design requirements for a single product, depending on where it is installed. Opting for certification from a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), such as TÜV SÜD, can save you time by ensuring that your equipment is fully certified for sale anywhere in the U.S. and meets the requirements of all Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

EU expertise: A manufacturer may self-declare that a product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) based on an evaluation from a Notified Body, such as TÜV SÜD. Recognized throughout the world, the TÜV SÜD Mark also gives businesses the option of distinguishing their product with certification that goes beyond the minimum requirements.

Alternatively, if you are targeting sales in individual locations, then field labeling may be the best option. Field labeling, also known as Special Inspection, requirements are unique to each municipal jurisdiction, which means you’ll need to look for a testing organization with specific knowledge of each area.
