In 2026, TÜV SÜD marks 160 years of trust, strengthening its ambitions for the future by driving innovation through trusted testing, inspection, certification, digital, and advisory services worldwide.

TÜV SÜD works progressively towards being the trusted partner of choice by delivering practical solutions, adding tangible value to our clients globally and thereby enabling a safer and sustainable future.

2024 - Investing in a digital and sustainable future

Since 2020, TÜV SÜD has continued to broaden its service portfolio and technical capabilities, including advanced testing and certification solutions for emerging technologies.

In 2024, TÜV SÜD achieved accreditation for the testing and certification of H2 generation systems and expanded our capabilities through the acquisition of FRST Corp, SIG, and GBES, strengthening its expertise in carbon emissions management and sustainable building practices.

TÜV SÜD also invested in expanded safety testing facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, and India, and enlarged  its international footprint with the opening of TÜV SÜD @ IBP in Singapore, its first significant real estate investment outside Germany. In parallel, TÜV SÜD reinforced its sustainability commitments, combining elaborate sustainability-related services with external recognition, including achieving Platinum status in the EcoVadis sustainability rating in 2022 and 2023.

2019 - Further expansion

In 2019, TÜV SÜD inaugurated testing labs for electric vehicle batteries in China, Germany and United States. A new centre of excellence for subsea pipelines in United Kingdom was also launched.

In 2018, TÜV SÜD launched a digital academy in India and Singapore and new labs in Canada, USA, India and Vietnam. In the same year, the corporate claim was changed to "Add value. Inspire trust." 

2016 - Global Growth

2016 marks the celebration of TÜV SÜD's 150th anniversary along with the acquisition of ATISAE in Spain and launch of two Digital Service Centres of Excellence in Germany and Singapore.
