SDPPI certification for Indonesia

Certificate of approval is required for every telecommunication and ITE product entering the Indonesian territory. The certificate of approval is issued by Directorate General of Resources and Equipment Standardization for Post and Informatics (SDPPI).

The manufacturers or importers who want to distribute their telecommunication and ITE products in the Indonesian market need to apply for a SDPPI certification as it is essential.

Four steps to SDPPI certification

• Testing to be conducted in TÜV SÜD/ SDPPI accredited lab
• Registration of local importer in SDPPI system
• Issuance of SDPPI type approval to local importers
• Application submission to SDPPI

Further application requirements

For specific products, test reports issued by SDPPI accredited overseas labs are allowed and neither factory nor shipment inspections are required. Lastly, the application document must include:

• User manual.
• Technical specification.
• External photos.
• Block & Circuit Diagram.
• Application & declaration letters by a local company registered at online system.
