A global network of IBR inspectors is ready to help.
Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) are a set of standards that regulate the materials, design and construction, inspection and testing of boilers and boiler components for compliance by the manufacturers and users of boilers in India. These regulations were developed by the Central Boilers Board which also regularly reviews and updates the standard to align with changing boiler technology.
Any material manufacturer or component manufacturer of boilers, boiler piping, mountings, fittings, and valves for use in India must comply with the Indian Boiler Regulation 1950 or IBR.
Since the IBR is strictly enforced by the Indian government, no material or equipment can be imported into India unless it is accompanied by a certificate that confirms that all imports meet the IBR. This certificate must be endorsed by an Inspecting Authority designated by the Indian Government.
ARISE Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company RRG (ABIIC) is recognized by the Central Boilers Board in India as an Inspecting Authority and Competent Authority. ABIIC has inspectors stationed in the U.S. and a global network of IBR inspectors for coverage where materials and pressure equipment may be sourced.
IBR Services Includes but Not Limited To:
In addition to IBR services, ABIIC through its affiliation with TÜV SÜD (a Notified Body) through its parent company, TÜV SÜD AG, can handle Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED), and other EU Directives. TÜV SÜD partners with you during all phases of the compliance process. This may include documentation, and design reviews, product testing, system evaluation, and certification.
Whether it is standards interpretation services, initial product design review, third-party material testing / inspection, or testing & certification, TÜV SÜD can help your organization plan and prepare for entry into the European market with compliance to applicable directives.
Additionally, as a quality management system Certification Body, TÜV SÜD America can save your organization additional costs and aggravation by offering both testing/certification and ISO management system certification, simplifying your overall compliance project management. In combining these services, your organization can decrease the frequency of third-party on-site inspections / audits, and reduce the number of outsource vendors.
