Expertise to assist in MSHA accreditation
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is a division of the United States Department of Labor, whose mission is to eliminate fatalities, reduce frequency of injuries, minimize hazards to health and improve health and safety conditions in the country’s mines.
Under MSHA regulations, an MSHA inspector is required to inspect every underground mine four times a year, and surface mines twice a hear in order to establish property safety and health compliance. Mines containing high levels of toxic or explosive gasses are often inspected with more frequency, and inspections are also conducted when complaints of hazardous conditions are filed. Passing of these inspections is required for mines to remain operable.
As an Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) accredited through the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), TÜV SÜD ARISE through its affiliation with ARISE Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company RRG can gain you access to these inspections. We are internationally known for our expertise in equipment compliance with the MSHA requirements.
In addition to MSHA accreditation and inspection services, TÜV SÜD ARISE also is accredited by ASME and National Board, as well as the Department of Transportation (DOT) to perform jurisdictional and shop inspection work for boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure equipment.
TÜV SÜD is a Notified Body through its parent company, TÜV SÜD AG, for the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED), and other EU Directives. TÜV SÜD partners with you during all phases of the compliance process, including documentation, and design reviews, product testing, system evaluation, and certification.
Whether it is standards interpretation services, initial product design review, third-party material testing, inspection, or testing & certification, TÜV SÜD can help your organization plan and prepare for entry into international markets with compliance to applicable directives.
