Minimize risk and gain a competitive edge
The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) is European legislation covering the design, manufacturing and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies with a maximum allowable pressure greater than 0.5 bar or 7.25 psig.
Pressure equipment manufacturers, suppliers and project owners need to be aware of many regulations, standards and building codes. Compliance is required to bear the CE marking. The new Directive was published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 189 on 27 June 2014 and replaces the old PED 97/23/EC.
