Plus Company felt it was imperative to obtain ISO 27001 Certification to showcase to their customers that they have a system in place to manage risks related to the security of data owned or handled by Plus Company and that this system respects all the best practices and principles included in this International Standard. 
 
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It outlines the requirements for implementing and maintaining an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect against the root causes of information security risks, covering all types of information in various forms such as digitized data, documents, electronic communications, and recordings. 

Plus Company has always had a fairly rigorous information security environment but one that could not be verified. TÜV SÜD helped Plus Company obtain a verifiable third-party standard that is internationally recognized as a mark of quality in the information security sector.   

TÜV SÜD provided an experienced auditor to assess the state of their information security management system, one who was seasoned and capable. The TÜV SÜD auditor was very professional and provided a tremendous amount of value, offering suggestions and advice for how to establish a system for continuous improvement.
