EU: REACH two substances were added to SVHC candidate list
JUNE 2023 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS, HARDLINES, SOFTLINES, TOYS AND CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS
On 14 June 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the 29th update of the REACH Candidate List1. Two (2) new Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) were added. Hence, the total number of SVHCs on the Candidate List increases from 233 to 2352.
From February to April 2023, ECHA launched a public consultation and proposed two substances to be identified as SVHC. Now both proposed substances are identified and included in REACH Candidate List.
Table A lists the new SVHC included in the 29th update of the Candidate List.
