IEC 60086 is an international standard that encourages battery manufacturers to ensure that their batteries are interchangeable according to standard form, fit and function. - Primary Lithium Battery for Watches – standards IEC/EN 60086-1, IEC/EN 60086-3, IEC/EN 60086-4 are intended to standardize primary lithium watch batteries with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse and environmental aspects.
