IEC 60086 is an international standard that encourages battery manufacturers to ensure that their batteries are interchangeable according to standard form, fit and function. This fact helps end users, as well as manufacturers of devices that use your batteries. Certification to the IEC battery standard shows that a battery complies with the standard.

• Primary Battery – standards IEC/EN 60086-1, IEC/EN 60086-2 are intended to standardize primary batteries with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety and environmental aspects.
• Primary Lithium Battery – standards IEC/EN 60086-1, IEC/EN 60086-2, IEC/EN 60086-4 are intended to standardize primary lithium batteries with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse and environmental aspects.
• Primary Battery with Aqueous Electrolyte – standards IEC/EN 60086-1,IEC/EN 60086-2, IEC/EN 60086-5 are intended to standardize primary batteries with aqueous electrolyte with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse and environmental aspects.
• Primary Lithium Battery for Watches – standards IEC/EN 60086-1, IEC/EN 60086-3, IEC/EN 60086-4 are intended to standardize primary lithium watch batteries with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse and environmental aspects.
• Primary Battery with Aqueous Electrolyte for Watches – Standards IEC/EN 60086-1, IEC/EN 60086-3, IEC/EN 60086-5 are intended to standardize primary watch batteries with aqueous electrolyte with respect to dimensions, nomenclature, terminal configurations, markings, test methods, performance, safety under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse and environmental aspects.
