We are an EPA-recognized testing laboratory
The ENERGY STAR initiative is a voluntary testing and labeling program jointly operated by the United States’ Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy. ENERGY STAR encourages manufacturers of a wide range of technologies and electrical appliances to take energy efficiency into account when designing their products. Over the past 20 years, products bearing the ENERGY STAR label have reduced energy demand by over 270 kilowatt hours and have saved more than $20 billion in energy costs.
While Energy Star Is Not Mandatory, It Offers Several Clear Benefits:
An independent ENERGY STAR accredited testing lab can certify your product as energy efficient in line with the initiative. TÜV SÜD is a recognized testing laboratory and certification body for a comprehensive range of product categories under the ENERGY STAR program.
TÜV SÜD’s technical professionals are actively involved in international advisory boards and standards development activities, ensuring the most up-to-date knowledge of current and changing requirements, such as the ENERGY STAR program requirements for computers.
Our Qualified Engineers Take You Through the Process of Energy Star Certification:
The TÜV SÜD A.C.T. program authorizes a manufacturer to perform their own product safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and / or ENERGY STAR® testing at their facility, with the test results reviewed and approved by TÜV SÜD America’s expert engineers prior to the product’s certification.
