CCC & CQC Certification

Gain product approval for the Chinese market

Gain product approval for the Chinese market

The China Compulsory Certification (CQC) and China Quality Certification (CCC) schemes require manufacturers of products in hundreds of categories to obtain approval before their products can be marketed, imported, or used for any commercial purposes in China.

Obtain CCC certification by adhering to regulations, which cover a range of 20 product types related to human life and health, animals, plants, environmental protection and national security. A product can only be marketed, imported, or used for any commercial purposes only after applying the CCC Mark. Manufacturers or distributors of products that are not CCC certified may also be subject to penalties.

The CQC Mark is a voluntary product certification which covers more than 500 products, acknowledging that they conform with standards relating to quality, safety, environment, and performance. It helps manufacturers to differentiate themselves from their competitors by demonstrating to consumers their commitment to producing a high quality and safe product.

How You Can Prepare for CCC and CQC Certification

Self-certification is not permitted, and CCC testing and certification can only be conducted by a CNCA accredited laboratory, to which product samples must be provided for safety and EMC testing. You must also be prepared for an initial factory inspection by an official CQC auditor. Thereafter, you must expect regular factory audits every 12 months.
