Regulations

There is no safety certification scheme in Mongolia. However, products need to comply to Mongolia's safety/EMC requirements which are harmonised to the EN standard.

Communications Regulatory Committee (CRC)

Regulations
- On Aug 19th, 2019 Communications Regulatory Commission of Mongolia (CRC) issued Resolution No. 29 regarding the Type Approval Regulation guidelines for Information and Communication equipment.
- Products must be marked with the Conformity marking
Guidelines
- A local representative is required.
- The validity period of the conformity certification will be issued for up to 3 years. The length of the validity period takes into consideration the validity of the equipment’s technical document and the quality management systems documents.
Applicable product categories

Mandatory certification is required for radio communication equipment:
- Base stations
- Line telephone sets with cordless handsets
- Multiplexers, transmitters, receivers, converters
- Other apparatus for the transmission or reception of voice, images or other data, including apparatus for communication in a wired or wireless network (such as a local or wide area network)
- Radar apparatus
- Radio navigational aid apparatus
- Radio remote control apparatus.
- Radio-broadcast receivers not capable of operating without an external source of power, of a kind used in motor vehicles
- Reception apparatus for television, whether or not incorporating radio-broadcast receivers or sound or video recording or reproducing apparatus.
- Telephones for cellular networks or for other wireless networks as SRD, BT etc.
- Telephone sets, including telephones for cellular networks or for other wireless networks;
- Transmission apparatus for radio-broadcasting or television, whether or not incorporating reception apparatus or sound recording or reproducing apparatus; television cameras, digital cameras and video camera recorders
