• The national mark of conformity SM consists of the letters S and M, which stand for “securitatea conform cerinţelor esenţiale” and “Moldova”. The SM mark indicates its compliance with the basic requirements established by the technical regulations of the Republic of Moldova.
• Both Safety and EMC should be considered for the products.

Applicable product categories

All equipment rated above 50Vac and below 1000Vac (75Vdc to 1500Vdc) and are liable to cause electromagnetic disturbance, and/or the performance of which is liable to be affected by such disturbance.

REGULATIONS

• Law on energy labeling of energy-related products (Law no. 44 as of 27.03.2014) – is being supported by the Regulation 1003/2014 which establishes a set of labeling requirements.
• Energy labels are on a scale of A to G, depending on their energy consumption. Class A (green) being the most efficient and class G (red) least effective.

REGULATIONS

• Mandatory certification of ICT products and is provided by the technical regulations document “radio equipment, terminal equipment and recognition of their conformity”, approved by Government Decision no. 1274 of 11/23/2007.
• The type examination certificate which is issued by the certification body (OC TIP) on the basis of test reports and technical documentation can be used as an objective proof that the product has been assessed by the competent notified body of the Republic of Moldova and is a basis for the preparation of the declaration.
