Argentina: Radars are allowed in 57-71 GHz spectrum portion

November 2023 - ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS

On 10 Nov 2023, ENACOM issued a letter to officially inform that radars are allowed in the band of 57-71 GHz without local testing. It is considered feasible to use “motion detector sensors” equipment that operates within the frequency band from 57 GHz to 71 GHz, as long as they fall within the limits established in Resolution No. 581-MM/2018 and its complementary ENACOM No. 4653/19, and do not cause harmful interference to other equipment operating in the same or adjacent bands, nor claim protection against interference produced by other devices. However, the emission levels of the equipment would in principle comply with the limits established in Resolution No. 581-MM/2018 (40 dBm EIRP and 43 dBm maximum).
