MOTION: Expertise in the future fields of mobility
Connected mobility, sustainability strategy, PTI 4.0, digitalization - TÜV SÜD has concentrated its expertise in the future fields of mobility in MOTION. Various activities, such as automated driving, cybersecurity, PTI 4.0, type approval, international standards, and digital service offerings, are located under the umbrella of MOTION (Mobility Technology and Innovation Organization). With this competence department, TÜV SÜD's Mobility Division is securing a leading role in a highly dynamic technical market environment and thus shaping a digital future.
The following highlight-projects are currently being realized in MOTION:
- Bike: the development of services relating to the safety of electric bicycles. Battery: services for assessing the state of health (SoS) and methods for testing the state of safety (SOS).
- Altlas L4: validation and approval of automated transport systems between logistics centers at SAE Level 4.
- Mobility Service World: the development of a digital service portal for all of the division's services.
- MIC-360: a photo robot for vehicles in the remarketing process. A voice assistant for experts and, most recently, the PTI Lab for testing and implementing new testing methods in the main inspection.
MOTION's task is not only to develop a clear technological strategy for the future and a culture of innovation in line with our sustainability strategy. MOTION also ensures greater visibility: we present ourselves to our customers, institutions and politicians with a strong, unified team. With the powerful department for the future topics in mobility TÜV SÜD is also reaffirming its claim to international leadership as a neutral testing company in this field.
