Toy safety certification mark

TÜV SÜD toy safety certification mark covers safety tests for toys. Manufacturers and retailers must undergo comprehensive testing in the areas of electrical, mechanical and chemical safety (as well as other directives such as EMC, RTTE, LVD, etc. if applicable). These tests confirm compliance with the EU directive so that a product can receive the mark.  

TÜV SÜD also conducts a factory inspection in parallel to the testing to ensure the manufacturer’s ability to produce quality products. We then perform annual follow-up checks to ensure that the manufacturer maintains quality. We award the toy safety certification mark to products used by infants and children up to 14 years.
