CHINA: ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC) GENERIC STANDARDS GB 17799.3-2023 - PART 3: EMISSION STANDARD FOR EQUIPMENT IN RESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENTS

On 28 December 2023, the Standardisation Administration of China (SAC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) published mandatory Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standard GB 17799.3-2023 (Part 3: Emission Standard for Equipment in Residential Environments).

EMC emission requirements specified in this standard are applicable to electrical and electronic equipment used in residential environments. GB 17799.3-2023 includes electrical and electronic equipment used in commercial and light industrial environments and other places which are not indicated in the standard IEC 61000-6-4 and IEC 61000-6-8. GB 17799.3-2023 is harmonised to IEC 61000-6-3:2020. Additionally, this standard stipulates the EMC emission requirements conducted in the frequency of up to 400GHz.

GB 17799.3-2023 will be in force on 1 July 2024 and repeal Standard GB 17799.3-2012.
