On 7 April 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation in China published an announcement to add several commercial gas products and other products subject to compulsory product certification.

The Annex describes the product category and code, descriptions, specifications, applicable scope, applicable standards and relevant product exclusions.
The timeline of CCC certification implementation for the products listed in the Annex are:
From 1 May 2025, electric bicycle rider helmets, explosion-proof lamps and control devices must be certified by CCC and marked with the CCC certification mark before they can be shipped, sold, imported or used in other business activities.
Designated certification agencies will accept the CCC certification of the electric bicycle helmets, explosion-proof lamps and their control devices from May 1, 2024 onwards;
From 1 July 2025, commercial gas appliances, flame retardant wires and cables, electric toilets, combustible gas detectors and alarm products and water-based interior paints must undergo CCC certification and be marked with the certification mark before they are shipped sold, imported or used;
Starting from May 1, 2024, designated certification agencies will begin to accept CCC certification application. The new certification and testing will be undertaken by certification agencies and laboratories that already have designated scopes for motorcycle rider helmets and explosion-proof electrical devices.
Starting from July 1, 2025, commercial gas burning appliances, flame-retardant wires and cables, electronic toilets, combustible gas detection and alarm products, and water-based interior wall coatings listed in the CCC certification catalog must be certified by CCC and marked with the CCC certification mark. Only before leaving the factory, selling, importing or using in other business activities.
From 1 November 2024, low-voltage appliances must obtain a CCC certification certificate and be marked with the CCC certification mark before they can be shipped, sold, imported, or used in other business activities.
Starting from May 1, 2024, the designated certification agency will begin to accept CCC certification applications for low-voltage appliances, and the "Compulsory Certification Product Compliance Self-Declaration Information Submission System" (hereinafter referred to as the system) will no longer generate self-declarations. For those who hold a valid CCC self-declaration for low-voltage appliances, the designated certification agency will directly issue a CCC certification and ensure the validity of the certification through post-certification supervision.
Before November 1, 2024, enterprises holding valid CCC self-declarations should complete the conversion of CCC certification certificates and cancel the corresponding self-declarations in a timely manner; for those that have no longer continue production, no conversion is required. After November 1, 2024, the CCC self-declaration of low-voltage components in the system will be canceled uniformly.
