CERTIFICATION MARK FOR vegan products
SCOPE:
This voluntary TÜV SÜD certification mark for products (Footwear, Apparel, Accessories and Home Textiles) demonstrates that vegan components used for vegan products has been tested and certified by the third-party organization TÜV SÜD. Thereby, vegan components are understood as no animal-derived components.
The certification mark is only awarded to the vegan products that undergo inspection by TÜV SÜD Product Service and comply with the criteria quoted below.
BASIS OF CERTIFICATION (TEST REQUIREMENTS):
The certification is based on the test program PPP 26001A:2020, developed by TÜV SÜD Product Service.

Non-animal-derived Components Tested
The product’s components (e.g. textile; leather, fur or other similar material; bones, horn, shell, pearls, mother of pearls or other similar materials) have been tested to identify no animal-derived composition is present
Bill of Materials and Process Chemicals Verified
The manufacturer should submit the Bill of Materials (BoM) and used process chemicals list of the certified product, this list should include the components of the materials and process chemicals. TÜV SÜD will check the Bill of Materials and Process Chemicals and verify that no animal-derived composition is present.
Production monitored
Except for the factory surveillance content of TÜV Mark Certification, TÜV SÜD also checks the manufacturer’s procedures to ensure the certified products are not contaminated by animal-derived components during manufacturing, transporting and storage.
