Vietnam: MIC Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT enters into force since 1 Sep 2019

On 9 July 2019, MIC (Ministry of Information and Communication of Vietnam) Vietnam has approved Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT to replace Circular 04/2018/TT-BTTTT on the new list of product under MIC Type Approval and DoC. Circular 05/2019/TT-BTTTT shall enter in force since 1 Sep 2019.

The new product list subject to type approval including following category:

• Terminal equipment
• Radio transmitter, transceivers using radio frequency from 9 kHz to 400 GHz and RF transmit power from 60 mW upward
• Short-range radio transmitter and transceiver 

Product subject to DoC includes the category of:

• Information technology equipment
• Sound and television broadcasting equipment
• Terminal devices
• Radio transmitters, transceivers operating from 9 kHz and 400 GHz band with the output power from 60mW upwards
• Lithium batteries for handheld devices
