    Regulations

    • Technical regulations of the Customs Union "On safety of low-voltage equipment" (TP TC 004/2011) came into force on 15 February 2013.
    • EA Customs Union (EAC) Approval is a singular harmonised Approval Certificate for EMC and/or Safety for certain products. It covers all member states in the union.
    • The product must be marked with the EAC Mark.
    • There are 2 methods of conformity assessment for electrical products: Certification (CoC) and declaration (DoC). The validity is up to 5 years.

    Guidelines 

    • A local representative is required for DoC.
    • Conformity Assessment includes:
      • Submission of application, test reports and essential documentation.
      • Factory inspection report.
      • Quality Management System certification (where applicable).
      • The EAC mark should be shown on the product label.

    • Products with nominal voltage of 50 to 1000 AC and 75 to 1500 DC require CU approval.

    Regulations

    • Order No 735 from 18 November 2009 "Registration, Reregistration, change notification rules of pharmacy product and medical devices".
    • Order No 736 from 18 November 2009 "Rules for expertise of pharmacy product and medical devices".
    • Approval of medical products in Kazakhstan is mandatory. The applicant should pay fees to the Pharmaceutical Control Division of Alma-Ata and submit technical file for review to the National Center for Expertise of Drugs and Medical Devices.
    • The review consists of documentation review, device testing, expertise and sometimes a manufacturer’s audit.
    • Upon successful review, a registration certificate is issued with 5 and 7 years validity respectively for medical devices and medical equipment.

    Guidelines

    • The manufacturer should consider, if local representative or the manufacturer shall be the owner of the Registration Certificate.
    • Listing of the device components in a registration certificate should be confirmed with the local distributor/customs broker before the registration process starts.
    • Device risk classification is similar to that in Europe.
    • Registered medical devices are published on the webpage of National Center for Expertise of Drugs and Medical Devices.

    Regulations

    • According to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About communication" the communication facilities realisation in Kazakhstan is possible at presence of Conformity Certificates of the Republic of Kazakhstan only.

    • The technical regulation of the Customs Union "On the safety of machines and equipment" (TP TC 010/2011) came into force from 15 February 2013. The validity is up to 5 years.
    • The technical regulation of the Customs Union “On the safety of machines operating on gaseous fuel” (TP TC 016/2011) came into force from 15 February 2013. The validity is up to 5 years.
    • The technical regulation of the Customs Union “On safety of high pressure equipment” (TP TC 032/2013) came into force from 1 February 2014. The validity is up to 5 years.
    • The technical regulation of the Customs Union “On the safety of equipment for work in dangerously explosive atmospheres” (TP TC 012/2011) comes into force from 15 February 2013. The validity is up to 5 years.

    Guidelines

    • TP TC 010/2011, TP TC 016/2011, TP TC 032/2013:
      • In serial production, the factory should be visited by the expert of the certification body.
      • Tests are carried out in testing laboratory accredited by the Customs Union. It is possible to conduct the tests on site in presence of the testing laboratory’s expert.
      • The applicant should be an organisation registered on the territory of the Customs Union.
    • TP TC 012/2011:
      • An identification criterion of equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres and Ex-components is the availability of means providing their explosion protection as specified in the manufacturer’s technical documentation, and the explosion-proof
        marking affixed on the equipment and the Ex-component.

      • All-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and the trailers
      • Engineering equipment for timber logging, timer deposits and timber rafting
      • Equipment for drilling boreholes and wells, equipment for charging and tamping blast holes
      • Equipment for shaft running and mine transport
      • Equipment for stripping and cleaning works and lining of mine workings
      • Equipment for ventilation and dust retaining
      • Garage equipment for motor vehicles and trailers
      • Household wood working equipment
      • Load lifting machines, load lifting cranes
      • Machines for livestock, poultry farming and feed-processing
      • Mechanised construction and assembly instruments
      • Sinking equipment for mines
      • Small-size mechanised machines for garden and forestry, including forestry electric machines
      • Technological equipment for commerce, catering and public kitchens

      The equipment for work in dangerously explosive atmospheres must comply with the TP TC 012/2011.
