South Korea: Unlicensed radio equipment, Notice No. 2008-74 and others - amendment - Notice No. 2019-104

JANUARY 2020 - RELEVANT FOR: ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS

The South Korean Ministry of Science, Information Technology and Future Planning issued amendments to Notice No. 2008-74 on Unlicensed Radio Equipment and Notice No. 2018-4 on Technical Standards for Unlicensed Radio Equipment, under the Radio Act and the Enforcement Rules and the Enforcement Ordinance of the Act. on 23 December 2019.

These amendments set out general conditions and specific conditions for UWB and unspecified wireless products used in the 57~66 GHz bands and outdoor fixed point-to-point communication. Wireless devices within the scope must meet requirements prescribed in the amendments.

The amendments were into force since 23 December 2019.
