China: Energy efficiency of air purifiers, Standard GB 36893-2018

JANUARY 2020 - RELEVANT FOR: ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS

The Standardisation Administration of China (SAC) issued Standard GB 36893-2018 on 19 November 2018. This standard specifies air purifiers’ minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades, and prescribes testing and calculation methods.

However, this standard has not come into force yet. The only available information is the application date - 1 December 2019.

The brief version of this standard was launched in May 2019, it identified the application scope of this standard - air purifiers whose rated voltage under 250V and CADR value (purifying capacity) range between 50m3/h and 800 m3/h.
