South Korea: Amendment to technical standards for unlicensed radio equipment issued

The South Korean Ministry of Science, Information Technology and Future Planning issued an amendment to the Notice on Technical Standards for Unlicensed Radio Equipment on 5 December 2019.

This amendment mainly establishes regulations on technical standards of occupied frequency bandwidth, frequency tolerance, transmission time, and unwanted emission, etc. for unlicensed radio equipment using 940.1- 944.3MHz band with interference avoidance or interference mitigation technology (in Article 8).

This amendment also updated the catalogue of abovementioned radio equipment in Annex 1 of the Notice on Conformity Assessment of Broadcasting and Telecommunications Equipment.

The Notice was into force since 5 December 2019.
