On 13 November 2024, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry issued Regulation No. 75/2024 on the Mandatory Application of National Standards (SNI) for Audio, Video, and Similar Electronic Devices. This regulation became effective on 2 June 2025.

  • Certificate applies only to that batch of products

Certification Ownership and Scope

  • Only industrial companies or overseas producers can hold certification
  • One certificate is valid for one production site only
  • Applications must be submitted electronically via SIINas
  • Companies with multiple production sites must submit separate applications

Existing valid certificates issued under Regulation No. 15/2018 remain valid as SNI Certificates and SPPT. These must be adjusted to comply with the new regulation within 12 months from 2 June 2025. SNI-marked products based on Regulation No. 15/2018 are not required to carry electronic markings. Domestically produced products made before 2 June 2025 can still be sold for up to 12 months. Imported products that cleared customs before 2 June 2025 can also be sold for up to 12 months. Ongoing SNI applications submitted before 2 June 2025 must follow new conformity assessment rules. Upon its enforcement on 2 June 2025, this Regulation officially repeals Regulation No. 15/2018.
