Profile

AAI is the developer of ReplicaR, an innovative Virtual Test Platform for test, validation and homologation of ADS.

Business Challenge

To gain seamless access to the automotive market ReplicaR required a fit for purpose check. This is a requirement according to the global standards and regulations (ISO 34502, UNECE VMAD NATM, R157, Regulation (EU) 2022/1426) for all VTPs used for testing ADS.

Our Solutions

ReplicaR passed TÜV SÜD’s VIVALDI (Virtual Validation Readiness Index) requirements, including a comprehensive checklist covering scenario generation, test management, data management and simulation execution. The world’s first-ever ADS simulation software certification proved to the global automotive market that ReplicaR was fit for purpose.

TÜV SÜD’s novel certification procedure fused AAI’s business needs with global regulatory demands to ensure the highest product quality and functionality. AAI used feedback from gap analyses to close any gaps between VIVALDI and ReplicaR’s capabilities. TÜV SÜD’s certification mark enables AAI to successfully market ReplicaR and assures OEMs and their suppliers that AAI’s VTP is fit for purpose.

Business Benefits

This fosters trust in its reliability, enabling ADS functions and components to be tested in a virtual environment at an early stage, thereby minimising cost and optimising efficiency.

With the support of TÜV SÜD and their VIVALDI solution we were able to assess and prove that the ReplicaR platform is fit for virtual validation of automated driving systems. TÜV SÜD’ certification has enabled us to demonstrate the quality of our platform and support the global automotive market in advancing ADS technology.
