Learn more about the "Fitness-For-Service" (FFS) Assessment in our Free On Demand Webinar
The so-called Fitness-For-Service (FFS) Assessment is a quantitative engineering evaluation that is performed to demonstrate the structural integrity of a component in service containing a flaw or damage. As such, it can be used to determine if affected pressurised equipment can continue to operate safely even with the damage for some time and thus to make the proper “run-repair-replace” decisions.
The webinar focuses on which kind of flaws and damages the assessment can be applied, which data is needed to be captured to evaluate them, and how it helps optimise maintenance by stretching the time until repair or replacement.
Our on demand webinar tackles these points, focusing on:
- What is a Fitness-For-Service (FFS) Assessment?
- What is needed to carry it out?
- Which codes provide rules and calculation procedures?
- What kind of flaws and defects can be assessed?
- Examples of input / outcome and measures taken
