TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants (GRC) was born in 1958 as American Risk Management. Since then, we have expanded our portfolio of services, partnerships, and have truly become a global provider of unbundled property loss control and risk engineering services.

On May 11^th, 2010, GRC was acquired by TÜV SÜD, a testing, inspection and certification organization based in Munich, Germany. With more than 150 years of combined expertise and an extensive network, the join-know how of these two organizations adds to an already diversified portfolio for existing and future customers alike.

This acquisition represents TÜV SÜD’s desire to expand their services to Risk Engineering offerings. GRC, already established as a dedicated provide of fire and explosion protection, boiler and machinery engineer, infrared surveys, natural hazards protections, and more stood out above competitors due to their dedication in providing customized, unbundled property loss control solutions independent from insurance providers.
