UA Technical Regulations (TRs) are currently in force in Ukraine and the Technical Regulations are harmonized with the European Directives. Procedures of product conformity assessment in Ukraine are also aligned with the rules and procedures for electrical products and electronic equipment in the European Union.

With regards to Low Voltage Directive (LVD) products, there are two UA TRs applicable namely:

• UA TR LVD.
• UA TR EMC.

About THE CERTIFICATION SCHEME

Ukr TR conformity mark - 5 year validity

CoC/ DoC - Regulated products

• All electrical products supplied by voltage up to 50 VAC (75 VDC) are
  subject to UA DoC (EMC).
• All electrical products supplied by voltage higher than 50 VAC (75 VDC) are subject to UA DoC (LVD+EMC).
• If the product does not include active electronic components - UA TR EMC is not applicable (plugs, sockets, cord-set ...).

FIVE STEPS TO CERTIFICATION:

• Testing to be conducted in TÜV SÜD test lab.
• Factory inspection to be performed by TÜV SÜD auditors (if applicable).
• Issuance of UKR TR certificate.
• Application submission to Ukraine certification body.

Further application requirements

• Must be a CE test report.
• CoC license holder must be the manufacturer.
• DoC license holder must be the importer.
• Shipment inspection is not required.

The rating label also requires the following:

• Manufacturer’s name or trade mark.
• Model identification.
• Conformity mark without identification code of cert body shall be affixed visibly, legibly and indelibly to the product. Where it is not possible or not warranted because of the nature of the product, it shall be affixed to the packaging and to the accompanying documents (user manual).
