Saudi Arabia: TUV SUD Approved for SALEEM Type 3 Certificate in Asia and Australia Region

In April 2023, TUV SUD PSB was notified by SASO (the Saudi Arabian Standards, Metrology and Quality Organisation) for products under type 3 certification scheme. This notification is applicable for the manufacturers located in the region of Asia and Australia. Manufacturers are able to select TUV SUD PSB as the notified body for factory inspection, and PC / SC release. TUV SUD PSB is notified for below scope of products under type 3 mode. Factory inspection is mandatory requirement for these products which is different from products under type 1A.

• Electrical batteries
• Auto Spare Parts
• Building Materials: Bricks, Tiles, Ceramics, Sanitaryware
• Detergents
• Food safety in tools and appliances used in the kitchen
• Lubricating oils
• Paints and varnishes
• Personal protective equipment and clothes
• Textile products

Besides of TUV SUD PSB, our Middle East office is another notified body for type 3 products for the manufacturers located in Middle East and North African region.
Apart from products under type 3 mode, TUV SUD PSB and TUV SUD Middle East are also notified for products under type 1A which includes low voltage electrical equipment, RoHs, Toys and etc. TUV SUD PSB is also certification body for G-mark.
