Can you describe your role within the company?
I am the verifier of GHG, more specifically, verifier of forestry carbon capture projects.
What do you enjoy most about your job and working at TÜV SÜD?
I love the possibility to travel and being in the woods, and other places I may not have been able to visit otherwise. Also, I enjoy the feeling of truly contributing to climate change mitigation.
Are there challenges you've faced in your career that have taught you important lessons?
I've faced numerous challenges throughout my career, but I'll specifically highlight the importance of speaking confidently about yourself.
What do you think the industry will look like 10 years from now?
In 10 years from now, hopefully, LiDAR information will be easily accessible, so we can monitor forests by accurate remote sensing models. If it becomes readily available, it could greatly enhance the industry's ability to monitor and assess forests for carbon capture projects, thereby improving efficiency and accuracy.
When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
I swim every day and enjoy playing or walking with my dogs.
