Tests for High-Potency Compounds or Highly Toxic Materials
The listed tests were executed in a special lab designed for handling highly active, i.e. highly toxic materials with occupational exposure limits of OEL < 10 μg/m3. Among these materials high potent API’s can be found, often referred to as HPAPI, as well as carcinogenic, mutagenic or teratogenic substances.
The tests are either performed in dedicated isolators or in closed apparatuses (containments), i.e. closed test devices. Not consumed material will be processed for hazardous waste incineration immediately after the test.

- Burning test (Combustibility Index) at 20 °C VDI 2269, sheet 1
- Dust explosion test in the closed modified Hartmann apparatus Ignition source: continuous spark VDI 2263, Sheet 1 Minimum ignition energy with or without inductance only 120s EN 13821
- Minimum ignition energy with or without inductance (full series) EN 13821
- Minimum ignition temperature in the BAM Oven; at 450°C (for T2), 300°C (for T3), resp. 200°C (for T4) ISO IEC 80079-20-2
