WELS Certification

The Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) Certification is offered by TÜV SÜD PSB to suppliers seeking certification of their water fittings and appliances for compliance to the Water Efficiency requirements stipulated in the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations. The criteria for certification is in accordance to the PUB Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) Guidebook and SAC CT 19 : SAC Criteria for Certification Bodies (Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme)

TÜV SÜD PSB is an ISO 17065 accredited Certification Body and accredited ISO 17025 testing laboratory for Water Efficiency Labeling Scheme (WELS), and we can ensure customers comply with PUB’s specified guidelines and regulations regarding minimum performance and water efficiency requirements. Mandatory WELS                                                                                                                    

• Shower Taps and Mixers
• Basin Taps and Mixers
• Sink/Bibs Taps and Mixers
• Low Capacity Flushing Cisterns
• Urinal Flush Valves & Waterless Urinals
• Clothes Washing Machines

Currently, there are 4 categories for the ratings. The rating given to a product is determined by its category, and its flow rate/flush capacity. The more ticks a product has, the more water-efficient it is. With this scheme, consumers can make informed choices when making purchases.
