On 19 August 2020, TÜV SÜD Danmark ApS was designated by the NSA in Norway as a Designated Body (DeBo) for railway vehicles. With this designation, TÜV SÜD can provide verification and issue certificates for vehicle compliance against national Norwegian requirements for railway vehicles.
As a Norwegian DeBo, TÜV SÜD issues verification certificates in accordance with Regulation no. 820 of 16 June 2010 on the interoperability of the railway system (the interconnection regulations) in accordance with Annexes IV to VI of the regulations. The tasks include Regulations of 21 June 2012 no. 633 on vehicles on the national railway network (the Vehicle Regulations) with appendices.
Lars Brockhoff, CEO of TÜV SÜD Danmark said “with the appointment, TÜV SÜD expands its service portfolio, which already includes accreditation as basis for role of Notified Body (NoBo) and DeBo in Denmark as well as accreditation as Assessment Body (AsBo). The first tasks as DeBo in Norway begin immediately after the appointment.”
