Automotive Safety Analyst - Complete Package incl. Examination 'Functional Safety Engineer'
As a supplement to the existing training courses on functional safety according to ISO 26262 2nd Edition (modules 1 to 4), you will receive in-depth training on safety-related analyses here. This training is specifically aimed at participants in safety analyses that become necessary in the course of safety-related development according to the automotive standard ISO 26262.
Who Should Attend?
Managers, safety managers, software developers, hardware developers, project managers, quality officers, test engineers and all users of ISO 26262 who are primarily involved in the development of programmable electronic components and/or safety systems and who participate in safety analyses.
Course Agenda
- Basics for the DFA in connection with ISO 26262
- Professional implementation of FMEA in the context of functional safety
- Results of the FMEA for the DFA
- Fundamentals of qualitative fault tree analysis
- Input of FMEAs for the FTA
- Results of the qualitative FTA for the DFA
- Basics of detailed HW analysis
- Detailed DFA
- Fundamentals of quantitative fault tree analysis
- Data for quantitative FTA
- Evaluation of the quantitative FTA
- Automotive Safety Analyst examination
Course Description
The components of this training are:
- Module 5: Safety Analyst - DFA with the help of qualitative FTA / FMEA analyzes in the safety lifecycle - ISO 26262 Part. 9. This module deals with qualitative inductive analyses with a focus on the FMEA methodology as well as qualitative deductive analyses with a focus on the FTA methodology. (2 days)
- Module 6: Safety Analyst - DFA with the help of quantitative HW Safety Analysis with both methods FTA / FMEDA - ISO 26262 Part. 5, 9, 11. This module will deepen quantitative inductive analyses with a focus on hardware FMEDA and quantitative deductive analyses with a focus on quantitative FTA. (2 days)
- Automotive Safety Analyst - Functional Safety Engineer examination (3 hrs on day 5)
Benefits
Dependent Failure Analysis with FTA / FMEA Analysis:
- In this training, the application of the Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA) in conjunction with the Functional Safety Lifecycle according to ISO 26262 is taught with regard to normative requirements and practical recommendations.
- Qualitative inductive analyses with a focus on the necessary automotive FMEAs as well as qualitative deductive analyses with a focus on FTA application are deepened.
- Quantitative inductive analyses with a focus on hardware FMEDA as well as quantitative deductive analyses with a focus on quantitative FTA are practiced in this training.
Methodology
The methodology of this training program consists of 4 instructor-led in virtual classroom sessions and an online proctored examination.
The Automotive Advanced Complete Package comprehends Module 5, Module 6, and the Level 1 (Beginner Level) Automotive Safety Analyst - Functional Safety Engineer Examination as can be seen in the following chart.
Instructor-led training in a virtual classroom means the course is Live Online. Participants will learn through online teaching. Lectures, case studies, group exercises, discussions, problem solving, examples with explanation, assignments and/or quizzes happen in the virtual classroom training. Participants need to connect to the class from any internet accessible location. Each module is delivered live using webinar technology, creating a virtual classroom learning environment. Live sessions provide you with direct access to the trainer so you can ask questions, understand complex concepts and share ideas with peers. Webcam and microphone are REQUIRED to interact with the instructor and/or other participants.
The training program culminates in an online proctored exam in which you will need your webcam on.
The course content and structure are designed by the domain experts from TÜV SÜD. With immense experience and knowledge in the relevant standards, our team of product specialists and technical experts at TÜV SÜD, developed the course content based on current business landscape and market requirements.
Learning Assessments
Additional to the Automotive Safety Analyst - Functional Safety Engineer (Level 1), two other level FSCP exams are available:
- Automotive Safety Analyst - Functional Safety Professional (Level 2)
- Automotive Safety Analyst - Functional Safety Expert (Level 3)
If you have questions, or need more information about the requirements for these level examinations and cost associated to them, you may reach us at [email protected]. Please note that the price published in this page only covers the level 1 examination.
