About the Speaker

Sven Nowak
Director, Center of Excellence, Digital Service at TÜV SÜD America

Sven Novak, Advanced Services Director at TÜV SÜD America Inc.Sven Nowak is the Director, Center of Excellence Digital Service at TÜV SÜD America, responsible for lead product developments with focus on high technological areas, cybersecurity, and functional safety capabilities. In a global capacity, he leads the global product management for Functional Safety within the TÜV SÜD group and is responsible for expert qualification and authorization as well as service development in response to new technologies.

Prior to joining TÜV SÜD America in July 2019, Mr. Nowak served as Vice President of Digital Service and was responsible for the business segment SMART infrastructure for TÜV SÜD Asia Pacific in Singapore.

Mr. Nowak has spent most of his career in safety of control systems. Starting in design and development of safety critical systems, he eventually joined TÜV SÜD in 2004 and started his career as safety assessor. Mr. Nowak moved to Japan in 2011, and later to Singapore in various technical and managerial roles. He currently is in Alpharetta, Georgia supporting his new director role.
